SpoonBlog is written by Megan Feeley, a passionate home cook who firmly believes in the power of real, honest food to connect us to the land and to each other. Two years ago, she moved to Northern Michigan from her lifelong home in southeastern Virginia and has since fallen in love with everything the Northern Fruitlands have to offer. Well, except for that brief bleak stretch between November and April.
Her favorite American Spoon products are Bartlett Pear Preserves, Black Mission Fig Conserve, Brandied Wild Blackberries, Cherry-Berry Spoon Fruit, Michigan Maple Cream, Northern Michigan Creamed Raw Honey, and Sweet Tomato Relish.
Megan writes all the stories and takes (almost) all the photographs that appear on SpoonBlog, and she has fun doing it. You can email her at meganf@spoon.com.
Really fabulous photos!
I enjoy reading your posts! It’s nice to see a fellow Up North blogger! (I write the posts for Crystal Crate!) Tasty posts & recipes!
I loved all the pictures. I’m going to make that bread pudding. Keep posting–I love looking a bit into your lives.
HI Megan,
My company writes booklets on foods, with recipes. For our pumpkin book (coming out in June), can we use the pumpkin butter cocktail photo (orange drink against green), and attribute to ASF?
Photoshoot is Sunday, and I will plan to shoot pic if you cannot give permission.
Thanks,
Ann Dougherty

P.S. I made this for New Year party, and used the whole jar of p. butter.
I lived in Harbor Springs for 19 years and now live in Palm Desert, CA. Reading your blog makes me homesick for the ASF store on Main Street! Purchasing the salsa and the Spoon Fruit and tasting it in the store..there is nothing like it in the world..Thanks for sharing your Brats recipes with us as I just bought some today!
I am thinking I will treat my ” Ladies of the Desert Book Club” to a Northern Michigan ASF spread of delightful crackers and spoon fruits!
